Edinburgh Fringe 2019 Round Up!

We are back from a fabulous Edinburgh Fringe 2019!

Over three fun packed weeks we welcomed 229 teams into our venue as they tried to solve crime in Gary Jotter and the Magical Murder, An Austentatious Murder, and as a special Bonus mystery, The Matinee Murder!

And because everyone loves Crime Stats, here are some of our favourites from the run:

1510- the total number of audience who came to play Detective in Bar Bados Room 1 with us, as part of the marvellous PBH Free Fringe.

26- the number of people who found their match thanks to The Austen Algorithm in An Austentatious Murder

2- The number of Perfect Matches who are destined to find true love all thanks to the Dating Mr Darcy App.

28% - The percentage of teams that got the answer right!

Team Names (we'll let you guess which mystery each were for!)

-Agatha Quiztie

-Sheerluck Holmes

Dial Emma For Murder

That's So Ravenclaw

Crime Incredulous

Mansfield Park Rangers

Favourite Limericks

With over 150 limericks, it was difficult to pick our favourites, but here are a couple that we thought were particularly splendid!

We set out to find Darcy a date A man to love and not hate To laugh and be silly warm her when it’s chilly And have an enormous will.....Estate.

---

There was a murder at Pigblisters School Now Grumbledum is just a ghoul But I’m just a muddle And in a befuddle So let’s go outside where it’s cool!

----

An actress died on the stage Her colleague consumed with rage Pulled out a banana Intending to harm her The police said “hold the front page!”

----

And who could forget ....

We set out to find Darcy a date A brief fling or a permanent mate So we came to the show But how were we to know That neither rhyming or limerick form were particular strengths of ours...

------------------

Overall we had such a fantastic run, selling out nearly every show and welcoming a whole raft of new folk to our every growing collection of sleuths! We are already planning our devious deeds for next year, so we hope to see lots of old faces and many new ones when we were return for Edinburgh Fringe 2020!
