An Austentatious Murder

Thinks have been a bit quiet in our website updates recently, but thats just because we've been kept very busy little murderers over the last few months!

Following on from the success of our Et Tu Shakespeare? Library Tour 2016, we were thrilled to be commissioned to create another literary mystery this year, to celebrate Austen 200 - the life and works of one of our most celebrated authors, Jane Austen. And so, AN AUSTENTATIOUS MURDER was born!

Acknowledging Jane Austen as one of mankind’s most gifted writers on the subject of love and the human condition, tech developers have created the ‘Austen Algorithm’ - the key to finding the perfect partner.

New app, Dating Mr Darcy, is due to be launched at an Austen-themed gala celebration. But moments before the app goes live, the creator is found dead - someone else has quite literally, broken his heart. But which of the Austen aficionados is a potential killer? What clues to the crime can be found within the works of the author, and just who will end up dating Mr Darcy?

With suspects Clyde Enprjdive, Susan Sensibility, Percy Uasion and Dan Sfieldpark looking particularly shifty (especially in their regency jackets and bonnets!), audiences across 10 different libraries not only hunted down the killer, but also created their own dating profiles based on the Austen Algorithm - and we were delighted to find 'perfect matches' in every library! Who knows, we might even have out first Highly Suspect wedding!

An Austentatious Murder is now available to book alongside all our other mysteries, which can be found on the 'OUR MYSTERIES" page.
